Landbank NCTDs may exceed $100M
A day after it was launched, Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) yesterday said it has sold $60 million of its $100 million US dollar-denominated negotiable certificates of time deposit (NCTDs).
Cecille Borromeo, Landbank SVP, expressed confidence the $100 million target will easily be met, leaving room for additional issuance probably by next year.
“This is probably the last for the year. There’s not so much we can do since it’s almost December,” Borromeo said in an interview. Borromeo, however, said the bank approval from the Monetary Board for another $50 million. Read more of Landbank story here.
